Sometimes Dead is Better

Headline: Couple Says Vet Faked Dog's Death
Buttons' condition was not improving, her owners decided to end her misery. James Kimberlin, watched as she was put to sleep — or so he thought, until she arrived back at their home days later, yapping and happy to see him.

According to her owners, Buttons is a feisty little dog whose demeanor belies her strong pedigree. "They're good, well-bred dogs — Buttons doesn't act it."

A veterinary technician who learned she had been euthanized was suprised when she saw Buttons in a cage in the treatment area of the hospital — and an attached card said her name was Zipper.

Stewart copied the dog's records and had her examined by an outside veterinarian to confirm that Zipper was in fact Buttons.

Since Buttons hasn't acted normally after this particular trip to the Vet, I'm pretty much thinking the owners need to rent Pet Sematary, ASAP, in order to know what to expect next. I am certain cute as a button will no longer be the case.

The most baffling thing was the obvious and unoriginal name change given by the Vet: Buttons to Zipper? Yeah, that's a stretch. He should've just called him Spot. At least he didn't choose Velcro, guess that name just didn't stick.

Right after they watch Pet Cemetary and know what to do, Buttons/Zipper will be eaten by the creatures in Critters III (if you haven't seen that, just imdb.com the movie and look at the cover) or the Werewolf from An American Werewolf in London...

or maybe just Jason Bateman from Teen Wolf, too.

I agree completely - that whole scene where he runs out of the cafe and knocks over a double-decker bus (and pretty much every car in London) is spectacular. I was very upset when they made that new one in Paris.

me too! - "Paris" was a glorified MTV video... more often than not, there should be no sequel or remake.
