Headline: Boy, 17, dies after having lip pierced

A teenage boy died of blood poisoning after getting his lip pierced, an inquest was told yesterday.

Naomi Storey, 21, Daniel's girlfriend, told the jury that her piercing, at Body Poppers, had also become infected.

The piercer, Emma Thompson, denied breaking hygiene rules. The inquest continues.

Emma Thompson? Are acting jobs for older women so hard to come by that she was reduced to body piercing to supplement her income? How sad. I'm thinking she needs to change the name of her shop to Body Killers, though.

But what's more sad is the girlfriend who has to be wondering if she'll be next on the slab. But there's no need to browbeat her, it's already infected.
