Probably not, it would have too much 'kick'. It would likely be mounted in some fortification and operated by computer as one of those 'fire at anything that moves' weapons.
ALthough the "kick" if oriented correctly would be able to brake or propel the bus per Newton's 3rd Law.
I wonder when some guy will bring this weapon deer hunting.
